Africa's Leading Show for General Aviation, Takes Flight 7-9 July 2022

AERO South Africa will open its doors in 2022 at the Wonderboom National Airport in Tswane. The live event is taking place with a full spectrum of General Aviation products, technology and services.

New partnership between trade show companies Messe Frankfurt and Messe Friedrichshafen focuses on innovative mobility

Friedrichshafen and Frankfurt am Main, Germany – The Messe Frankfurt and Messe Friedrichshafen trade show companies are planning a new joint venture to strengthen their collective market position and further develop their leading trade shows in the fields of general aviation and urban mobility, the latter with bicycles as its driving force. The aim of the joint venture, to be known as fairnamic GmbH, will be to combine the performance capabilities of the two companies in order to accompany the global mobility shift, particularly in urban areas, in its best way possible living up to be a truly global leading trade show. Eurobike is thus undergoing a comprehensive change of concept, which will include a relocation of the leading trade show from Lake Constance to Frankfurt starting in 2022.

Due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, Messe Frankfurt South Africa has taken the decision to postpone the AERO South Africa exhibition and conference to July 2022.

On the 7th October 2020 the DJA Aviation team hosted a webinar with the help of AERO South Africa, to look at the impact of this global pandemic on the General Aviation Industry and specifically Aviation Insurance.

Messe Frankfurt South Africa, organisers of Africa’s largest General Aviation trade show, AERO South Africa, is extremely excited to announce the launch of an all new Virtual Marketplace. The online platform is scheduled to launch later this month and will be the premier online business-to-business platform for the General Aviation sector.

AERO South Africa: Postponement to 8-10 July 2021 due to impact of COVID-19

In light of the current situation pertaining to the increased spread of the Coronavirus in South Africa and following the South African Government’s announcement of a national state of disaster, Messe Frankfurt has taken the decision to postpone the AERO South Africa conference and exhibition to 8-10 July 2021.

Statement regarding COVID-19 Pandemic, relating to Messe Frankfurt SA 2020 Events

Messe Frankfurt SA is currently monitoring the rapidly evolving situation, with regards to the COVID-19 Pandemic. As ot the 14th March 2020, 61 cases have been identified in SA with no reported deaths. The Department of Health and the NICD (National Institute for Communicable Diseases) have put stringent measures in place to identify and contain the virus. For more information, please visit the South African Deparment of Health’s website at www.health.gov.za, where you will find more detailed information on the current status of the virus in SA, the containment measures that have been put in place by the SA government as well as other information.

African show for General Aviation sector off to a flying start at Wonderboom National Airport.

The launch of the inaugural African Show for General Aviation, AERO South Africa, welcomed over 4200 visitors to Wonderboom National Airport last weekend. The 3-day event was presented by Messe Frankfurt South Africa in partnership with Messe Friedrichshafen – who organise Europe’s largest general aviation show – Aero Friedrichshafen.

Gearing up for Southern Africa’s inaugural general aviation showcase

AERO South Africa will open its doors at Wonderboom National Airport in Pretoria for the first-time later this week. This FREE-to-attend exhibition will feature workshops by over 10 industry experts, demo flights from major local and international manufacturers and suppliers to the industry, as well as a first of its kind Park & Sell area sponsored by AutoTrader.

Africa’s first general aviation trade show continues to gain momentum with the introduction of Demo Flights, Africa’s first ever “Park & Sell” and Wonderboom’s biggest fly-in yet.

From 4 - 6 July 2019, Wonderboom National Airport in Pretoria, Tshwane, will open its doors to welcome over 4000 registered trade visitors looking to experience the latest the general aviation industry has to offer.
