So, what you may ask, is the ideal training aircraft? One that can satisfy the demands of a modern-day high-flight-time fixed-wing flight school operation? Well, that depends on what you are looking for. In days gone by, the Cessna 172 and Piper Cherokee were the go-to training aircraft. However, the goalposts have moved considerably, to the point where the typical legacy aircraft can no longer fulfil the role that flight training in this modern era demands.

Enter the Sling LSA. Based on the tried and tested Sling 2 – an aircraft which has been plying its trade in flight schools both locally and internationally for the past 15 years. Collectively, these aircraft have logged hundreds of thousands of hours in this environment, with some now exceeding 9,500 hours of abuse. The Sling High Wing is a modern aircraft with a perfect blend of practicality, performance, and beauty. The large cabin easily accommodates four people and has a spacious cargo area. But being a highly versatile aircraft, the unused seats can easily be removed or folded flat to provide extra space for any kind of cargo. The doors can also be removed, making this an ideal aircraft for aerial photographic work.
